To Shiver The Sky, is "an oratorio about the history of flight, and mankind's quest to conquer the heavens," explained Christopher Tin. The eleven tracks on the album are each based on the stories of eleven of our greatest astronomers, inventors, visionaries and pilots spanning centuries, continents and perspectives. To Shiver The Sky is the history of our ascent to magnificence and, in the words of John F. Kennedy, the greatest adventure on which man has ever embarked.

The first single ‘Sogno Di Volare’ (‘The Dream Of Flight’), released today, is a new recording of Tin's theme for the popular game Civilization VI, a choral setting of Leonardo da Vinci's writings on flight. "The inspirational main theme serves as a recurring motif throughout the album, periodically returning after moments of darkness and despair," recalled Christopher Tin.

Christopher Tin is a two-time Grammy-winning composer of concert music, film, and video game scores. His music has been described as "Rousing, anthemic" by Time Magazine and "Joyful … an intelligent meeting of melody and theme" by The Guardian. His output is strikingly diverse: ranging from lush symphonic works, to world-music infused choral anthems, to electro-acoustic hybrid film and video game scores. His recent film work includes music for Crazy Rich Asians, Suddenly Seventeen, Sausage Party, and Tess. In 2011 Christopher Tin made history as the first artist to win a Grammy Award for music written for a video game with his theme song ‘Baba Yetu’ for Civilization IV. His debut album, Calling All Dawns, won the Grammy for Best Classical Crossover Album, and his second album The Drop That Contained The Sea, debuted at #1 on Billboard's classical charts.
