Here's how to watch the historical event

The full programming schedule for King Charles III's Coronation has been released. From the ceremony at Westminster Abbey to the Coronation Concert at Buckingham Palace, there's lots to watch from the comfort of your home.

The BBC will cover all of the ceremonial events as they unfold. The Coronation Ceremony on Saturday 6th May will be the centrepiece of live coverage, including the early military movements, formal processions, service at Westminster Abbey, atmosphere on the streets of London, the balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace, and much more.

Inside the Abbey, viewers at home will be able watch as thousands of guests gather, including politicians past and present, faith leaders, The King and Queen Consort's patronages and members of the royal family. The BBC will capture the Coronation Service in all its glory, from the music to the beautiful architecture. The service will begin at 11am.

On Sunday 7th May, a unique Coronation Concert will take place at Windsor Castle to celebrate the Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort. You can watch this live on BBC One, BBC Two and on BBC iPlayer to see music icons and contemporary stars come together for the historic occasion.

"The Coronation will also be the BBC's most accessible live event ever on BBC iPlayer. Viewers will be able to watch with subtitles, sign language, and an alternative commentary version for people with sight loss – all delivered live on iPlayer," explains the BBC.

BBC presenters covering the Coronation weekend include Kirsty Young, Clare Balding, Huw Edwards, Sophie Raworth, Anita Rani, JJ Chalmers, Martha Kearney, Eleanor Oldroyd, Mishal Husain, James Naughtie, and Royal Correspondent Jonny Dymond, who will provide expert insight.
