TikTok says this $10 body wash smells like Le Labo Santal 33: ‘It smells identical’

Who doesn't love being told they smell good?

Known for its "subtle, striking scents, apothecary packaging and distinctive naming convention," Le Labo is synonymous with top-quality perfumes. Unfortunately, the brand is also synonymous with hefty price tags; one bottle of perfume can cost up to $310.

Luckily, TikTok has found a dupe for one of Le Labo's most popular scents hiding in the aisles of Target.

Le Labo's Santal 33 is a unisex fragrance that's rich and woody, and it features notes of violet accord, cardamom, iris, ambrox, leather, sandalwood and cedarwood. TikTokers claim Cremo's Palo Santo Reserve Collection Body Wash smells just like it.

TikTok user @beautybyrosita says Cremo's body wash "smells identical to Santal 33." She goes on to say that "it's that super bougie, sexy, musky scent. You know, that scent that they have in, like, a hotel lobby in Miami or in the city, like in New York? It's infamous, and it's so good."

Additionally, TikTok users @courtney.tietjen and @shelbyalexis___ dubbed the body wash a dupe for Santal 33, while user @itssarahschmitt said the product is "giving Le Labo."

While the popular body wash was understandably sold out for a while, it's now back in stock at Target for just $9.99. You can also grab a two-pack of the body wash for $20 now on Amazon.

Cremo's Palo Santo scent has notes of cardamon, dry papyrus and Palo Santo and is "uniquely layered to evolve as you wash." Plus, it's packed with marula oil, so your skin feels moisturized (but not greasy) when you step out of the shower.

According to its product description, it's "a scent you’d expect to find in a high-end boutique without going to a high-end boutique."

Between Amazon and Target, the body wash has earned hundreds of five-star ratings. One Amazon reviewer said of the body wash: "The scent Palo Santo is an almost identical dupe for Le Labo Santal 33 for a fraction of the price! I have the name-brand scent in a small bottle and for not half I got 2 big bottles of this body wash… I will be buying this from now on and stop wasting my money on the high-end version."
